Miran's art was featured in Tales from the Crypt: Trick 'R Treat a comic book insert in the companion book to the feature film. She has an established reputation as a cover artist for the X-Files comics and other projects such as; Hellraiser, Animal Man, The Crow, The Predator, Bandy Man and her graphic novel The Fallen. She has done work for Relapse Records, MTV Animation, Sci-Fi TV. Miran's work appeared in the well-known Absoult Vodka campaign and was titled "Absolut Kim". 

She is currently making painted sketch cards for IDW Limited on Mars Attacks and for a deluxe hardcover edition of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (due in May 2013). She has done several covers for IDW, including: Mystery Society - Annual Edition, Mars Attacks #8 and The Crow which will be relased in June 2013. She contributed to the highly-anticipated TOMB due in February 2013 and is working on an original graphic novel with Steve Niles called 27 Graves.

G.I. JOE: COMPLETE COLLECTION Vol. 1 Will Be Released in Deluxe Hardcover Limited Edition with More G.I. JOE Books to Follow.

Today IDW Limited announced its plans to release the first in a squad of limited -edition G.I. JOE offerings under license from Hasbro and based on its iconic G.I. JOE brand. Starting with G.I. Ultimate Collection Volume 2 to Include Original Kevin Eastman Artwork and Signatures

After 12 years of working as an Editor/Artist for such comic book companies as Valiant, Acclaim and Crusade Comics, Jeff Zapata landed at The Topps Company in the late 90's to produce souvenir magazines for Star Wars: Episode One. Apricot Mantle broke into the lowbrow art scene in early 2009. First showing at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in the "Everything but the Kitsch N' Sync" show. He has since kept busy creating new drawings and custom themed frames for other shows in Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Portland, New York and Atlanta. TMNT’s just finishing a very succesful first year. How’s this experience been for you?

 TOM WALTZ:  Honestly, one of the best experiences in my creative career!  It’s been such an honor to be handed the writing reins for such an iconic and amazingly popular property, and to be able to do it alongside such wonderful and talented teammates – folks like Bobby Curnow, Dan Duncan, Ronda Pattison, Andy Kuhn, all the fine folks at Nickelodeon, and, of course, Kevin Eastman – has made it all the more satisfying… and humbling.  I pinch myself all the time because I just can’t fathom how I got so lucky.

Change Is Constant makes some great references to the original comics. Were you a fan of the older series?

TOM WALTZ:  I still am!  I came into the Mirage stuff later than my exposure to the original animated show and live-action movies, which I experienced through my kids, but that hasn’t spoiled my love affair with the classic Eastman/Laird comic books in any shape or form.  If anything, I’d like to think it made me appreciate the TMNT legacy even more.  It boggles my mind to think how a pop culture juggernaut like TMNT evolved out of a comic book created, in many ways, on a whim by two talented and motivated friends… though, when you read the original comics, there’s no denying the love and respect Kevin and Peter put into their work. 

 Kevin Eastman has been involved with this re-boot as well, how’s working with Kevin been?

TOM WALTZ:  Kevin’s one of the nicest, funniest, open-minded, driven, talented, humble, and complimentary people I’ve ever had the enormous pleasure to be associated with in my life… both in and out of comics.  He’s just a darn good guy and I’m truly honored to call him my friend and my creative cohort. 

 Response to the IDW Limited version of the book (which you signed) has been great.  Have you participated in any like this before?

 TOM WALTZ:  I’ve never been a part of anything this big before in the comic book business, but I’m enjoying every second of it while it lasts!  The books IDW Limited has put together are gorgeous and it’s a true thrill to be a part of the initial line-up.  I’ve no doubts the best is yet to come!

What's your favorite part of the TMNT Change Is Constant IDW Limited Edition?

TOM WALTZ:  I love the overall production value -- the books just FEEL important, if that makes sense.  Definitely something to show off on a coffee table or a bookshelf.  And, you can beat those Dan Duncan original art pieces!

 Any books you’d like to see get the IDW Limited treatment?

 TOM WALTZ:  Geez, too many to list!  If I wanted to be selfish, I’d say Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward and Silent Hill: Past Life.  Yes, I wrote those, but the spectacular artwork by Steph Stamb and Menton3 deserve some limited treatment!

 Are you a collector yourself?

 TOM WALTZ:  In some ways, yes, though my wife says I’m more of a hoarder.  Heh.

And what’s your prized book?

 TOM WALTZ:  They’re all prizes in their own way – even the dog-eared and torn ones!

It's not just fans who are excited about the new site, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES co-creator Kevin Eastman was recently interviewed by Bleeding Cool, and when asked how he felt about the new IDW Limited division and the books it will be releasing, he didn't hesitate to show his enthusiasm:

"I will be buying EVERYTHING they do in this series-and if I get to be part of another fantastic collection—even better! Hah! Seriously these are books that I feel are presented in the way they should be—as a work of art to be enjoyed again and again—it really is awesome to be a small part of it."

In the bleeding cool interview, Eastman went on to talk about why he jumped at the chance to get involved with this special edition:

Being part of that, whether it is signing a limited number of signature plates, or doing original sketches--it is a great feeling that but doing something that simple for me, does so much for a fan on the other end--and that is pretty awesome."

"In a hot second!..."
